Hazard Identification and Risk Management

You must demonstrate you and your team have a full understanding of the hazard identification, risk assessment and control measures (HIRAC) associated with your job, taking into consideration the hierarchy of control and the job specific Manteena Project Hazard Risk Assessment and Register (PHRAAR).

Make sure you have received a copy of the Manteena integrated management plan (IMP), this plan contains further details on all items in the Contractor Portal, if you need more info, check the IMP or talk to your project manager or safety advisor.

To demonstrate you have a documented safe system of work, please provide the following to us (where relevant):

  • Project specific Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to cover all high-risk construction activities.
  • Documents such as JSAs or SOPs to cover all other activities.
  • A way to document unforeseen hazards (such as a toolbox talk form).
  • Evidence of the skills and competencies of all site workers.
  • Registers of electrical equipment (including chargers), heights safety equipment, plant and hazardous materials that will be used on site.
  • Plant documentation .
  • SDSs and risk assessments for hazardous and dangerous materials.
  • Rescue plans for specified high risk work
