You and your team are to prevent soil erosion and silting of waterways.

• Use sandbags, hay bales and other baffles to control water run-off to reduce erosion.
• Where suitable, use mulch to protect disturbed or exposed areas.
• Monitor and maintain erosion and sediment control measures regularly and after rainfall events.
• Don’t remove erosion and sediment control measures until disturbed areas have been stabilised.
• Where possible, plan to progressively stabilise disturbed areas with vegetation during construction. Where necessary stabilisation will be undertaken after works are complete.
