The following needs to be provided to Manteena before anyone enters a confined space:

• An Enter and Work in Confined Spaces verification of competency
• A risk assessment
• A site specific SWMS
• A Manteena issued confined space entry permit (or an approved equivalent from the contractor)

A confined space entry permit will only be approved once you can demonstrate:

• Standby arrangements for continuous communications between the person in the confined space and the responsible person on the outside
• The procedure to know when workers have exited the confined space; and
• Emergency procedures and equipment for rescue and first aid
